Each time around the circuit is one season with the next gradually revealed underneath. The warmth or coolness of its colors reflect the mood of the coming months making this a fresh and forward-leaning piece every day of the year.
This piece is a free form, one year time marker for a newborn. Her parents remove a piece everyday in any order, write a memory from that day and place it in an album. There are several layers to discover within making its daily appearance fluid and unpredictable.
This flower inspired piece blooms into a new color scheme with the change of the seasons. The jewel tones indicate the month in which each weekly bud begins.
This is a functional piece for daily use lasting one year. It has a weekly and seasonal color design and every day is easily removed so your notes can go with you. This commissioned piece features family birthdays in reflective silver.
This dynamic piece is multifunctional. The design gives the owner the option to either see 6 months ahead or to take notes on passing days and replace them to be reflected upon later. This places focus either on the months to come, progress made in months passed, or a balance struck between the two by the temperament of the owner. Here the leading edge of the present is always in contrast to one’s consciousness of the past and future.
Paper and Acrylic 44”x23”
This custom anniversary calendar commemorates the lives of the owners, juxtaposing their birthdays, wedding, and 65th anniversary at the center, framed by those calendar months presented in contrast to each other.
Paper 36” x 21”
The initial stage of this piece displays August-October but pulling the right threads in the right order gradually replace these with November-February in a different design and color palette. This particular calendar offers itself to greater functionality with a space for day numbering that hides itself when February appears leaving the owner with a more abstract than functional result.
Custom made for this couple’s home, this piece combines the month and day of their births, wedding, and anniversary, woven together in a unique design.
